Nicolas Winkler
Nicolas Winkler is an Analyst with China Macro Group (CMG), a European research-based consultancy focused on China. Nick holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sinology from the University of Zurich and an MPhil in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford. Before and during his studies, Nick spent a total of two years in East Asia. Amongst other things, this included a one-year Chinese language exchange at Heilongjiang University and a term abroad in Taipei.
Nick is fascinated by China's transformation over the last four decades and the benefits and challenges which have resulted from this change. In ASCA, Nick would like to strengthen the discussion and self-reflection amongst fellow Swiss China Alumni about what an evolving China means for Switzerland in the 2020s.
